Cliff Lyon

Cliff has over 50 years of experience in legal practice, graduating with an LLB from Auckland University in 1974. 

He commenced in sole practice as C K Lyon, Barrister & Solicitor on the opening of the then new Manukau City Centre in October 1976, practicing principally in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law and Civil Litigation in the various South Auckland District Courts and the Auckland High Court. Since 1994, Cliff has practiced in Newmarket, Auckland as C K Lyon Barrister & Solicitor. 

Cliff offers a wide range of legal services in a confident and professional way, now focusing on commercial and residential conveyancing, relationship property, Asset protection, Trusts, Wills Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration. Cliff, however, has been “in the law” for a long time and his practice motto has always been with regard for his clients “Nothing’s a problem”. 

He has been a council member of the then Auckland District Law Society, (now the Law Association of New Zealand) and a cost revisor and fitness for practice examiner for the New Zealand Law Society.
